Counterbalance Forklift Truck

The Counterbalance Forklift Truck Course (diesel, gas or electric) ensures the course candidate establishes a good level of theory knowledge and practical skills.
The course covers safe use of fork trucks and the dangers if used incorrectly as well as high to low racking and stacking work duties.

The basic course syllabus includes:
- Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
- Operatives Responsibilities & PPE
- Area Hazards and Risk Assessment
- Rated Capacity and Safe Loads
- Pre-start Checks and Controls
- Manoeuvring, Stop & Start, Steering
- Lifting & Lowering – Stacking & De-stacking
- Attachments and their purpose
- High-eye & Low-level Stacking – Work Procedures
- Pre Use Check Assessment
- Practical Assessment
- Theory Test
